The warm-up in P.E.

A warm-up is a group of exercises performed inmmediately before more strenuous physical activity. It helps to body to adjust from a state o rest to a state of exercise. Warming-up is an essential element of every physical education lesson as it prepares the body appropiartely for involvement in the main body of the lesson. Then the warm-up prevents body injuries.
Every warm-up should include:
  1. Pulse-raising aerobic activities to prepare the cardiovascular system and warm the muscles of the body.
  2. Mobilityexercises to prepare the joints.
  3. Streches to prepare the muscles and their associated ligaments and connective tissue.
The warm-up should begin with very gentle exercises to allow a steady increse in the body and muscle temperature. This gentle exercise could take the form of a game or jogging, depending on the size of the area, and can then be followeb by mobility and streching exercises. Mobility exercises increase the range of movement of the limbs whilst streching improves the flexibilityrange of the muscles.

You have several examples in this video.

Now, you have to prepare a 10 warm-up exercises:
  • 2 Pulse-raising aerobic activities to prepare the cardiovascular system and warm the muscles of the body.
  • 4 Mobilityexercises to prepare the joints.
  • 4 Streches to prepare the muscles and their associated ligaments and connective tissue.
You have to do this activity in groups of four. Follow these steps:
  1. Think the exercises together.
  2. Everyone has to be recorded doing 3 exercises.
  3. At least 3 people of the group have to be recorded doing 5 exercises.
You have until the 26th of november to deliver the recordings.

Good luck!!!
